THE ROXBURGHE HOTEL AND GOLF COURSE
The Brief
The initial brief was developed through consultations with the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe. It was felt that the existing courtyard area was not being fully utilised, and Maxwell Green Design were brought on board to explore the potential of the historic buildings to transform the space into a complex of six luxury en-suite rooms. The design pinpointed the need to reflect the stunning countryside and traditional feel of the hotel, while bringing a splash of city cool and sophistication to the rooms.
THE DESIGN
- Each room stripped back to its original proportions with considered space planning to maximise each room and keen attention paid to operational issues.
- Period features combined with stylish contemporary luxuries.
- Rich tonal fabrics combined with bold prints.
- Oversized headboards adding drama.
