The Brief

Maxwell Green Design Limited was approached by Mr Russell Imrie, Director of the Bruntsfield Hotel, to re-design the existing hotel restaurant, which was predominately used for dining, wedding parties, conferences and as a breakfast room. The initial consultation outlined the importance of raising the hotels profile within the catchment area and increasing sales of both hotel residents and outside passing trade. The creation of a sophisticated interior with a fresh contemporary edge was the essence of the brief.

THE DESIGN

  • Elegance created by using rich contrasting colours and classic detailing with a modern edge
  • An eye catching ergonomically designed bar area
  • A seductive intimate atmosphere enhanced through muted lighting and dark woods, set against rich fabric panels
