The Brief

Maxwell Green Design were approached by Peter Sharma who outlined the need to bring the Victorian Townhouse back to life.
Impact and atmosphere were key points in the brief. In a competitive city centre location the aesthetic is important and customers expectations are very high.
Emphasis was placedon the need to work with the existing architecture and use lighting to reveal the finer details

THE DESIGN

  • A muted lighting scheme that gives the foyer and bar area warmth and sophistication
  • A rich, stylish lounge bar finished in American Walnut flanked by a series of sofas and easy armchairs that follow the order of the Victorian drawing room - a contemporary edge was achieved with the use of slick european fabrics and coordinated cutting edge lighting.
  • An impressive chaise longue in rich velvet nestles in the bay window with oversized standard lamps in deep red silk give impact on street level
    Eclectic detailing adds interest and sets the hotel apart from its neighbours.

The Results
